How Skrill fees work

Skrill charges three main types of fees: transaction fees (fixed % on card deposits, withdrawals and P2P sends), currency conversion markup on any cross-currency movement, and inactivity fees after 12 months. VIP tiers materially reduce FX markup — the single biggest hidden cost for international users.

FAQ

How accurate is this Skrill fees calculator?

Estimates are based on Skrill's published 2025 fee schedule for personal accounts in Europe. Actual fees depend on your country, currency, verification level and payment method. Always confirm on skrill.com before large transfers.

Do VIP tiers really lower fees?

Yes. VIP Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond members get discounted FX markups (from 3.99% down to 1.99%) and free bank withdrawals once qualification volume is met.

Which Skrill fee is the most expensive?

Card withdrawals (around 7.5%) and currency conversion (up to 3.99% markup on Standard accounts) are typically the highest costs. Bank transfers in and Skrill-to-Skrill transfers are much cheaper.
